Overview
Covington is a city in Newton County, Georgia, located 26 miles east of Atlanta. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 13,118. The city was founded by European immigrants and was incorporated in 1821 and was named for United States Army Brigadier General and United States Congressman Leonard Covington, a hero of the War of 1812.

Sawtooth Ranch
Established in October 2014. The farm was named after the Sawtooth Oak trees the original builder planted back in 1988. You will see these trees as you enter the driveway and in a few of the paddocks as well. They have a small outdoor arena and a small cross country set up.
Eastside Trail
Running 2.5 miles from downtown Covington to Eastside High School, this is Newton County’s newest multi-use greenway trail. Opened in early 2013, the 10-foot-wide concrete path begins off Ramsey Drive in Covington, just west of the Newton County Public Library and meanders through a woodland area over rolling terrain.
