Panola Mountain State Park

Encompassing 1,635 pristine acres and designated as a National Natural Landmark, Mountain State Park offers archery and tree-climbing programs as well as trails for biking, rollerblading, hiking and running. The flagship of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area, Panola Mountain is a 100-acre granite outcrop home to a rare ecosystem.  Visit the nature center, gift shop, picnic shelters and playground.

Memorial Park

When you’re ready to get active, this park offers three playground areas featuring swings, slides, jungle gyms and more. The park also offers an inclusive, special needs playground, so every child can join in on the fun. Other features include an outdoor basketball court, outdoor track, and a wilderness retreat along the 3-mile Reeves Creek Trail, which winds through the park to Reeves Creek. If you access the trail at the Flippen Road entrance, make sure to bring an old book and exchange it for one you haven’t read at the Little Free Library.

Yule Forest

Since 1983, the farm has provided the area’s residents and travelers alike with seasonal celebrations including a pumpkin patch in the fall, Christmas trees, and other attractions, even a haunted house. J.P. Moseley Park Disc Golf Course

The disc golf course at J.P. Moseley Park is a championship-caliber course recognized by the Professional Disc Golf Association. Catering to players of all skill levels, the 27-hole course is the highest-rated in metro Atlanta. Free.

Rum Creek Golf

Rum Creek Golf features a driving range and a 9-hole Par 3 executive golf course. The driving range offers grass tees as well as artificial turf hitting stations and a 12-acre landing area with numerous target greens. The facility offers a nine-hole footgolf course. Junior golf camps are available during the summer

Sandy Ridge BMX

Offers an opportunity for BMX riders of all ages and skill levels to get on the track. This USA BMX-sanctioned track promises to excite with a 50-foot starting hill, 800 feet of heart-pounding jumps, and three paved, high-banked turns. Races are held on Saturday nights under the lights. The track plays host to state and DK Gold Cup qualifiers as well, where visitors can watch some of the best riders in Georgia showcase their skills. Riders of all skill levels can also take advantage of a number of regularly scheduled clinics during their visit led by Michael Porter, a Certified BMX Coach and A-Pro.
